Refund Policy

Understand our refund and cancellation policies to ensure a smooth rental experience with Rent2Rider.

1. Overview

At Rent2Rider, we strive to provide a fair and transparent refund policy for our bike rental services in Siliguri, Darjeeling, Gangtok, and other Northeast India locations. This policy outlines the conditions under which cancellations and refunds are processed. By booking with us, you agree to these terms.

We understand that plans may change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • More than 48 hours before rental start: Full refund of the rental amount, excluding any non-refunded processing fees (if applicable).
  • 24–48 hours before rental start: 50% refund of the rental amount.
  • Less than 24 hours before rental start: No refund for cancellations.
  • No-show: If you fail to pick up the bike without prior notice, no refund will be provided.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to info@renttorider.com or through our website’s cancellation form.

Refunds, when applicable, will be processed as follows:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days after approval.
  • You will be notified via email once the refund is processed.
  • Any bank or payment gateway charges are non-refunded and will be deducted from the refund amount.

A refundable security deposit (₹1000–₹2000, depending on the bike model) is required at the time of rental. The deposit will be refunded:

  • Upon return of the bike in its original condition, with no damages, within 2–3 business days.
  • Via the original payment method or as mutually agreed.
  • After a thorough inspection of the bike by our team.

If the bike is returned damaged, the cost of repairs will be deducted from the security deposit, and any remaining amount will be refunded.

Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the rental start time.
  • No-shows or failure to collect the bike without prior cancellation notice.
  • Damages, theft, or loss of the bike during the rental period.
  • Failure to comply with our rental terms, such as riding under the influence or using the bike in non-permitted areas.
